| Who Am I? |
My name is Ryan Holota.
I am a freelance business writer with almost a decade of experience in the dental industry. I left my job as the manager of an electronics repair shop in 2001 to explore the exciting world of dental. I got my start working as a service technician - but it took just two years to be offered a sales position with my company. However, the time wasn't right for me, and I continued to hone my skills as a service technician until 2005, when I finally made the leap to sales.
I took an abandoned sales territory and returned it to profitability for my company. Against some of the toughest competition in the country, I carved out a sizeable chunk of business. One of my secrets was my monthly newsletter. The newsletter was three pages of industry news, service information, and advertisements meant to distinguish myself from my competitors.
Dental sales was a lot of fun, but it was also a lot of work. In the end, my passion lay elsewhere, and I left the world of the big dental companies to start my own business. I now put my writing, sales, and marketing skills to work for others; I create sales literature, brochures, newsletters, and all manner of business documents for clients around the world.
I still create my monthly newsletter, and now sell it to other dental sales reps to distribute to their clients. I have some samples of older newsletters, but I also offer a one month free trial to any dental rep who wants to improve their client relationships. I personalize the newsletter for each rep so that it looks like they created the newsletter just for their clients.
